About

Who am I?

My name is Gunilla. I’m a blogger with jewellery on my mind and a jewellery maker with a blog. Most of the time, I do other things, but every single day, I appreciate the small, beautiful things around us. I am constantly drawn to metal, patterns and shapes.

I find that nature is a great designer, and I believe that all the shapes that we create with our minds and hands already exist, somewhere. That said, I also think that we can all bring something unique into the world. There are still a lot of beautiful things yet to be made.

Why jewellery?

Because jewellery always mattered. From the beginning of time until today, and forever.

Jewellery has so many meanings, on so many levels. Was there ever a place on earth or a time in history when people did not care about jewellery? No. Whether it has been for beauty, status, power, to confirm human relationships or simply for trade, jewellery has always been part of human culture, and always will be.

What is galeriaredelius about?

The name just came to me. It is my family name with a Spanish-inspired 'gallery' in it. It felt right twenty years ago, it feels right today.

I dreamed about working with metal already as a little girl. Later in life, I had the chance to do training and get a jeweller diploma. The real turning point that made me feel like a jewellery maker was when I started blogging. To show my jewellery, talk about it, get feedback. That was when 'I, jewellery nerd' was born. That is also when galeriaredelius came to life, and that is how you and I can meet here today.

Come join me

This space is a way for me to invite you to the world of handmade jewellery. I'll be happy to show my work, share my thoughts and take you by the hand down any jewellery rabbit holes I get excited about.

What I have learned over the years is that there is a lot more to jewellery than we may first think.
